5 Star Reviews

I recently hired Mr. John W. Ford, Jr. to represent me in a longstanding dispute. After a brief conversation with Mr. Ford on the phone, along with an initial consultation at his office, I knew he was the perfect attorney for this case!

While there were a few complex issues involved, Mr. Ford easily dissected each one and provided me with options. I always found him to be genuinely concerned about my family member's health and well-being.

Throughout this case, with Mr. Ford's guidance, we were able to achieve a satisfactory result for all parties involved. It is a rare combination to find an attorney who is highly knowledgeable, very well-prepared, and always punctual for meetings and phone calls, while also having heartfelt compassion for his clients.

I would highly recommend Mr. John W. Ford, Jr.

Why Attorney John W. Ford, Jr Is Uniquely Suited to Represent You

John’s studies in economics and business, combined with his multitude of experiences working for the legal needs of individuals and entities both large and small, have made him keenly aware of the challenges facing modern litigants and the motivations of those whom they may encounter.

Born and raised on Galveston Island, Texas, John is no stranger to confronting and overcoming challenging obstacles to success. Whether it be recovering from the onslaught of a hurricane brought on by mother nature or the wrath of an opposing party seeking to wreak havoc on one of his clients, John has and will always be up to the challenge. John learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and diligence at an early age working in his family’s small business endeavors before turning his focus to his legal practice.

In 2014, John graduated cum laude from Rice University in Houston, Texas, with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science, with a Business Minor. John went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas, cum laude, in 2017. While pursuing his legal education, John was proud to clerk for the Honorable Stacey G. C. Jernigan, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Texas, as well as serve in various legal roles for Nationstar Mortgage (now Mr. Cooper), the Better Business Bureau of Dallas & Northeast Texas, and the DII Industries, LLC Asbestos PI Trust.

John W. Ford, Jr., cut his legal teeth as a young lawyer by representing insureds in a variety of personal injury cases before branching out into more complex commercial litigation, running the gamut from contractual breaches to intellectual property. Construction defect claims and matters involving ongoing business concerns of clients also predominate his practice. As a sign of the nature of challenges our clients face in the modern world, John has been handling an increasing number of data breach, cybersecurity, and payment fraud-related cases. Additionally, John is adept at facilitating client business transactional needs with a particular emphasis on acquisitions, partitions, divestitures, and due diligence requirements. John has been privileged to serve as an adjunct professor at the University of North Texas College of Law in Dallas, Texas.

Beyond his professional endeavors, John is an avid science fiction and theme park enthusiast, student of history, with an emphasis on 20th-century history, and traveler. The latter being a manifestation of John’s innate yearning to personally experience and discover for himself the storied history of the world and the sites and experiences it has to offer, to better understand its underpinnings and impetus. John’s fervor for exploration and investigation translates well into his legal practice, aiding his development of procedural and substantive bases to zealously represent the interests of his clients.

“Our firm strives every day to offer the ultimate value proposition by efficiently, yet zealously pursuing the objectives of our clients. Everything we do for our clients is with the aim of best positioning them to prevail on their own terms. For in the words of George Washington, ‘To be prepared for war is one of the most effective means of preserving peace.’”
